Since the beginning of time, the glass containing lead, the densest of elements used to give glass a "ring" to it, and to increase its "density, allowing deep and precise pieces of American Brilliant Cut Glass and superior quality for pressed glass patterns.

When you buy a piece of glass if lead or soda lime with a simple tap on the play. It also helps to know the name of the model or mold and if it occurs exclusively in Flint or soda lime or both configurations. Note that when the fingers of one piece, the inherent shape, like a bowl of a glass, can cause the piece to sound, but compared with Flint glass ring is rather low. Soda Lime Glass also has the brilliance of lead crystal, but is a bit difficult comparison of both are necessary.
